Chakra Balancing Massage
This service is offered only by our therapist Stephanie. This is a unique sensory experience that begins with an organic Himalayan salt foot scrub and then incorporates deep relaxation massage, tapotement, aromatherapy and guided meditation into 90 minutes of pure bliss. What are the chakras? We all have seven major chakras located along the spine. They are responsible for directing the flow of energy throughout our bodies. Every emotion and all of our senses are integrated into the chakras. When we experience stress our chakras can become blocked. Blocked chakras can manifest in physical, emotional or spiritual issues. Open, balanced chakras keep our energy flowing so that we feel our very best. Chakra balancing is a great way to improve your physical and emotional well being. The use of essential oils during massage along with guided meditation techniques is a great way to help achieve balance. We use certified therapeutic essential oils and like to think of it as vitamins for the chakras. They assist to awaken the senses to help boost blocked or unbalanced chakras. This is a rejuvenating experience for letting go of stress for the body, mind & spirit.
Medical/Therapeutic Massage
The Medical Massage is effective for targeting one area of concern in the soft tissue of the body in a thorough fashion with extreme focus. It can also be used to soothe and relieve several related areas of tension. Techniques such as trigger point therapy, neuromuscular massage, myofascial release, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation and many more may be employed to help relieve pain or release tension in soft tissue conditions such as sciatica, strained muscles in the neck and shoulders, lower back pain etc.
Myofascial Therapies
This is a deep connective tissue massage that incorporates myofascial release with other modalities such as the neurostim device and other instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization tools. It aims to release myofascial (connective tissue) restrictions in the body, and to break up any restrictive scar tissue. It has also been known to relieve chronic tension, to increase range of motion, to improve posture, and restore length and flexibility to the muscles and fascia. The pressure of this massage may be somewhat slower and more intense, and massage cream isn’t always used. During this session, your therapist will focus on releasing tension from the deeper tissue structures, breaking up adhesions and bringing balance into the body. The therapist tailors each session specifically for the individual needs of each client. Usually they will focus on a particular area of the body, which needs the most tension reduction and relief. The treatment helps to relieve stress and pain but to also help improve the performance of daily activities. Results are typically seen after the first session, but it is recommended for a series of 2-10 sessions for maximum benefits.1st time treatment recommended for 2 hours to include range of motion & muscle testing but subsequent sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes.
